Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 6th May, 2026
On The Move Removals wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or browser accessibility settings.
Our Accessibility Aim
We aim to make this website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably possible for a small business website.
What We Have Done
The site has been built with accessibility in mind, including semantic page structure, keyboard-visible focus styles, descriptive links, responsive layouts, readable contrast, image alt text, reduced-motion support, and skip-to-content navigation.
Built-in Accessibility Tools
You can adjust how the site looks and behaves using the Accessibility button in the site header (or the matching button in the footer). Your choices persist in your browser so you do not have to set them again on the next visit. Available controls:
- Text size: choose between standard, large (A+), and extra-large (A++) text across the whole site.
- High contrast: a higher-contrast palette for readers who find the default colours hard to distinguish.
- Reduce motion: disables transitions, reveal animations, and the awards marquee for readers sensitive to movement.
- Underline links: adds underlines to in-content links so they are easier to spot.
- Dyslexia-friendly font: switches the site to Lexend, a research-backed typeface designed for reading proficiency. The font is loaded only when you turn this on.
- Larger cursor (desktop only): replaces the system cursor with a larger, higher-contrast pointer. Hidden on touch devices because phones and tablets do not use a cursor.
- Focus mode: dims the page above and below a clear reading band that follows your mouse, so you can concentrate on one section at a time. Helpful for some readers with ADHD or strong visual fatigue.
- Page tint: a soft warm overlay across the whole page, used by some readers with visual stress or Irlen syndrome to reduce glare from white backgrounds.
A Reset button at the bottom of the panel clears every preference and returns the site to its defaults. We deliberately have not installed a third-party accessibility overlay widget. The disability community has raised serious concerns that those widgets can interfere with assistive technology, so we prefer native preferences that respect the screen reader and operating system settings you already use.
Known Limitations
Some embedded third-party services, such as Google Maps, are outside our direct control. Where possible, we provide alternative contact and location information in text on the website.

Ongoing Review
We will review accessibility as the website changes, especially when new pages, articles, forms, or interactive features are added.
