These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between you (the customer) and On The Move Removals when booking or using our services. By confirming a booking, you accept these terms.
Booking and Quotes
Quotes provided by On The Move Removals are based on the information you give us. If the details change, the final price may also change. Examples include additional items, restricted access, extra distance, or delays outside our control.
Bookings are only confirmed once you have received written confirmation from us.
Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
• Provide accurate information about your move
• Ensure access to the property is safe and suitable for our team and vehicles
• Secure all valuables, fragile items, and personal documents
• Pack items securely unless you have booked our packing service
• Be present or have a representative available during collection and delivery
• Notify us promptly of any changes to your booking
You are responsible for any parking fees, permits, or restrictions that affect our ability to complete your move.
Our Responsibilities
We agree to:
• Provide services with reasonable skill and care
• Arrive within the agreed time window whenever possible
• Handle your belongings with respect and attention
• Deliver items to the location you specify, subject to safe access
In the rare event of delays caused by traffic, weather, or factors outside our control, we will keep you updated.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be confirmed at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed:
• Deposits may be required to secure your booking
• Final payment is due on the day of the move
• We accept standard UK payment methods as advised during booking
Failure to pay may result in suspension or cancellation of services.
Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or change your booking, please notify us as soon as possible.
• Cancellations made with reasonable notice may not incur a fee
• Short notice cancellations may be subject to a charge
• If we arrive at the property and cannot carry out the job due to access issues or inaccurate information, a callout fee may apply
Liability for Loss or Damage
On The Move Removals takes great care when handling your belongings. However, no removal service can guarantee that accidents will never occur.
Our liability is limited to what is set out in these Terms.
We are not liable for:
• Items packed by the customer
• Fragile items that are not properly protected
• Loss or damage caused by wear and tear, deterioration, or pre-existing issues
• Loss of income, loss of opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss
• Damage caused where access is unsafe, restricted, or unreasonable
Any claim for loss or damage must be reported to us promptly and supported with evidence.
Items We Cannot Move
For safety or legal reasons, the following cannot be transported:
• Hazardous materials
• Explosives and flammable items
• Live animals or plants
• Perishable goods
• Illegal items
If you are unsure whether an item is permitted, please ask before the move.
Delays Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control. These include traffic incidents, severe weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, or other unexpected circumstances. We will do everything reasonable to minimise disruption.
Storage Services
If we provide storage:
• All items must be securely packed
• Storage fees must be paid in full and on time
• We reserve the right to withhold release of stored items until all outstanding fees are settled
Further details will be provided at the time of booking if storage is required.
Complaints
We aim to resolve any issues quickly and fairly. If you have a concern, please contact us as soon as possible so we can investigate and assist.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the appropriate UK courts.
